Our Background

Gladys Ruiz founded Gladys Ruiz Consulting LLC., (GRC) in 2016 to provide support to those working on intentionally integrating equity, diversity, and inclusion into their environmental educational programming efforts.

GRC engages clients through the cultivation of learning environment that focus on supporting organizations equity, diversity, and inclusion journey as they integrate these efforts into their programs. Focusing on culturally relevant program design and youth workforce development that's responsive to community needs and leads with a racial equity which centers youth in curriculum.

GRC understands what it takes to create programs for multicultural audiences utilizing nature as the medium for advancing authentic wholistic connection. Our approach is rooted in multicultural educational practices, which provides support to organizations, collaboratives, and individuals to co-create programs that allow students' to see themselves reflected and respected in the content of each program.

Approaches are trauma informed, relevant to individuals' life experiences, and allows for the environmental field to be broadly defined based on student’s own connection to the natural world.
